China’s open door will get wider

Although economic globalisation has encountered a counter-current, it is still developing in depth. In the face of the difficulties and uncertainties in the current foreign trade environment, how should China respond effectively? In the process of recovery and development of the world economy, how should China grasp the opportunity to further cultivate new dynamics in foreign trade?

“In the future, China to enhance the linkage effect of the two domestic and international markets and two resources, consolidate the basic plate of foreign trade and foreign investment, and promote foreign trade ‘steady growth in quality and quantity’.” Jin Ruiting said that the focus can be placed on the following three aspects:

Firstly, we have anchored our focus on the direction of opening up and seeking vigour. Take the initiative to docking high standard international economic and trade rules, in the field of intellectual property rights, environmental protection and other areas to increase the system of openness testing, and comprehensively promote the quality of foreign trade change, efficiency change, power change. We will play the role of a high-level opening-up platform, actively expand imports of high-quality products, and create a large market shared by the world.

Secondly, anchor the key areas, to reform to power. Focusing on the difficulties of foreign trade enterprises in financing, labour, cost, etc., research and introduce more targeted policy initiatives. Continuously improve supporting policies to accelerate the development of market procurement, cross-border e-commerce and other new business models. Accelerate the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade, and help foreign trade enterprises solve problems such as standards and channels.

Thirdly, anchor key markets and seek effectiveness from cooperation. By vigorously implementing the strategy of upgrading the Pilot Free Trade Zone and expanding the global network of high-standard free trade zones and other major initiatives, China’s foreign trade “circle of friends” will be enlarged. We will continue to organise exhibitions such as the Canton Fair, the Import and Export Fair and the Consumer Fair to provide more opportunities for foreign trade enterprises.
