Foreign trade operation is accumulating new vitality
The General Administration of Customs announced on September 7th, the first eight months of this year, China’s foreign trade import and export value of 27.08 trillion yuan, at a historically high level during the same period.
According to customs statistics, the first eight months of this year, China’s total import and export value of 27.08 trillion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.1%. Among them, exports 15.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.8%, imports 11.61 trillion yuan, a decline of 1.3%. In the month of August, China’s imports and exports of 3.59 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.9%, monthly imports and exports as a whole showed a stable trend.
In the first eight months of this year, China’s import and export to 152 “Belt and Road” countries 12.62 trillion yuan, up 3.6% year-on-year, accounting for 46.6% of China’s foreign trade. Among them, the import and export of 4.11 trillion yuan to ASEAN, an increase of 1.6%. Import and export to the five Central Asian countries 390.47 billion yuan, an increase of 34.1%.
Meanwhile, since the first eight months of the year, China’s private enterprises import and export 14.33 trillion yuan, an increase of 6%, accounting for the proportion of China’s imports and exports rose to 52.9%, and continue to maintain the status of China’s foreign trade, the first major business entity.
China’s exports maintained growth, of which exports of electromechanical products amounted to 8.97 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6 per cent year-on-year, accounting for 58 per cent of the total value of China’s exports in the same period, while exports of automobiles and spare parts, ships and electrical equipment increased by 50.1 per cent, 28 per cent and 18.6 per cent respectively.
